Junior and Cadet members participate in fun and exciting training activities in a well supervised and safe environment. Through participation in the Junior and Cadet Program, children and young people can gain:

- prevention, preparedness and response
- skills in teamwork, leadership, communication and problem solving
- friendships with like-minded peers
- self-confidence
- a sense of belonging to their local community and participating in community life.
