(DPFEM) Business and Executive Services

Business and Executive Services support our emergency response role and community fire safety activities are supported by Business and Executive Services located within the DPFEM.

Business and Executive Services
includes:-
  • Information Technology Services include: business reform, legislative development (including Right to Information), policy and procedures, statistical reporting, media, organisational performance, corporate documents, and internet and intranet publishing. Provide advice and information technology solutions and the management and support of these solutions, with a client focus, in a 24/7 emergency management environment; be compliant with agency accessibility, security, legal and government requirements; and demonstrate continuous improvement through research and innovation.
  • Information Services - is to manage operational and corporate data and information. These responsibilities extend to the management of information systems, compliance activities and meeting agency responsibilities for disclosure
  • Information Security - is to audit and manage security related activities across the information security domains including governance and risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery, access control, compliance activities, infrastructure, application development and network security, cryptography, and physical and environmental security.
  • Trunk Mobile Radio Network (TMRN) - is to manage contracts for the operation and maintenance of the TMRN; the provision of IP-based linking solutions; the management of data centres and radios sites; license management; and for meeting business-owner contractual requirements.
  • Communications Systems and Technology - is to advise, implement, manage and maintain communications systems and services that support operational networks and technologies that include radio systems, telephone services, operational data networks, communications centres, traffic and road safety equipment, AV systems and critical power systems.
  • Finance and Payroll Services - provide quality advice and services in relation to the allocation and management of financial resources within the agency including financial accounting and operations, payroll services, and budget management.
  • Engineering and Fleet Services - manages and maintain the vehicle fleet and any related infrastructure, services and contracts in addition to the identification and engineering of fit for purpose equipment to suit the state-wide requirements of a 24/7 emergency services environment.
  • Property and Procurement Services - provide services and systems to maximise the efficient delivery of fit-for-purpose buildings, facilities, and goods and services to members of the agency.
  • Strategy and Support Services - provides high-level support and advice to the Corporate Management Group as well as a number of partners, both internal and external to DPEM. Services include: business reform, legislative development (including Right to Information), policy and procedures, statistical reporting, media, organisational performance, corporate documents, and internet and intranet publishing.
  • People and Culture – a new business unit comprising of TFS Human Services and DPEM ex Employee Services, more information coming shortly.
