MESSAGE FROM THE 2010 GAMES DIRECTOR

As the Games Director for the 13th Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games, I am delighted to be able to extend an invitation to all career and volunteer fire fighters; retired fire fighters, and support staff to take part in the Games which will be held in Hobart, Tasmania between the 20th and 27th of February 2010.

This will be the first occasion that Tasmania has hosted the Games, with forty-six sports being offered there will be in excess of 800 actual events catering for participants of all ages and ability.

The 2010 Games however is much more than competing and winning medals and all sporting events create a great sense of camaraderie and personal accomplishment. There are also many other benefits including the opportunity to connect with like minded people – I therefore encourage and urge you all to take part and enjoy this event so you to can ‘Conquer the Isle’, at the 2010 Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games.
