Fire crews are continuing to extinguish hot spots and patrol the fire perimeter.

There may be visible smoke and fire activity within the burnt area.

Community Information:

Crews continue working to extinguish an identified hot spot on Lake Augusta Dam Road and a number of hotspots on Brown Marsh Road. Lake Augusta Dam Road is open but there is currently restricted access, residents and essential services only, to Brown Marsh Road as the removal of dangerous trees along roads continues. The public are asked to obey road signs as this road still poses a significant risk as trees may fall without warning.

People recreating in or visiting the area are advised to be aware of any increase fire activity or smoke, drive carefully and be aware that emergency vehicles are working in the area. Do not enter any roads and tracks that are closed. Do not park your car, camp or walk around under burnt trees as they may fall without warning.
