There is a bushfire that started at Gell River, Southwest. Fire crews are continuing to extinguish hot spots

Firefighters will continue to extinguish numerous active fire edges using vehicle based teams, walk-in teams, and remote area teams inserted by helicopters.
Firefighters will continue to protect natural values and assets.
There are still a number of closed roads and the public must obey road closure signs. These roads remain a significant risk due to fallen trees, or trees that could fall without notice.
